Frequently
Asked Questions about Denton Spring Water
1. What is in
the Water?
NOTHING! There
is no sodium and no additives. All you taste is the cold. Our water contains
no harmful chemicals such as pesticides, chlorine or heavy metals. Nor does
it contain pathogens such as coliform, giardia, or cryptosporidium. A complete
analysis is available upon request.
2. What is the
difference between bottled Spring Water and tap water?
The major differences
are QUALITY & TASTE.
Quality exists
in every bottle of Spring Water. Bottled Spring Water and bottling plants
are inspected and monitored by governmental agencies and private laboratories
to ensure consistency. Tap water can be inconsistent due to the amount of
rainfall, source of the water, amount and type of chemicals used to treat
the water, etc. Another factor is the distance tap water travels from the
treatment plant to your faucet and the age and condition of the pipes it
travels through to reach the tap.
Taste is the
other major difference. Chlorine used to treat tap water can leave an aftertaste.
The source of the treated water is usually rivers, lakes, streams and reservoirs.
Depending on the source prior to disinfecting with chlorine, the tap water
may have an "earthy" taste. The disinfecting agent used in Spring
Water is ozone, a form of supercharged oxygen and ultraviolet light, which
leaves no trace of chemical aftertaste. All you taste with our water is
the cold.
3. Do I need
to be home to receive my delivery?
The only time
anyone needs to be home is the initial installation of a cooler. For routine
deliveries all you need to do is place your empty bottles outside and the
route salesperson will replace them with full bottles
4. How often

Monthly delivery
is the usual frequency, however we can alter the frequency to meet your
need.
5. Can I pay
with a Debit or Credit Card?

VISA, MASTER, & American Express.

13. How
do I clean and maintain my cooler?
Denton Spring
Water coolers and bottles both require periodic cleaning and
sanitizing. It is important to know that bottled water can last for very
long
periods of time without affecting the taste of the water. However, you should
rotate your bottles using the oldest bottles first. Also, it is important
not to store
extra bottles in direct sunlight. Direct sunlight can adversely effect bottles
promoting algae growth over a period of time.
Denton Spring
Water Company recommends the following for maintaining your
Cooler:
Whether you
own or rent your cooler always wipe off the neck of the full bottle before
you place it on the cooler. Visually inspect around the probe where the
bottle fits and wipe out any excess water or debris that may be around the
probe. Wipe off the faucets weekly. Periodically remove the drip tray and
wash with warm soap and water.
The water cooler
is essentially a closed system. However, dust, cooking oils and grease,
pet hair etc. can migrate into the cooler. If you notice an off taste in
you water it is time to clean your cooler. If you rent your cooler from
us, call the office and we will arrange for a cooler switch. If you own
your cooler we can provide you with cleaning instructions upon request.
